Brian L. Monroe has been a music educator for over 34 years, teaching concert band, jazz ensemble, marching band, and music theory/history from fifth grade through high school.  His bands were honored to perform at numerous universities, multiple times at the Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Convention, The Ohio Band Directors Hall of Fame, and the American School Band Directors Conference.  Monroe is an active clinician and adjudicator for band, composition and percussion.  He holds degrees from Kent State University (Ohio), where he studied music education,  percussion with Michael Burritt, and composition.  His composition teachers include Thomas Janson, Walter Watson, & J. Rex Mitchell.  His arrangements and compositions have been published by Ludwig/Masters/Keiser Music Publisher, C Alan Music Publisher, Per-Mus Publications, and online at Sheet Music Direct and Sheet Music Plus.   He is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the Ohio Music Education Association, the Percussive Arts Society, and the American School Band Directors Association. 

Monroe's compositions and arrangements have been used by beginners through professionals alike.  They include works for Concert Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band and Chamber Ensembles.  Monroe has always enjoyed arranging music from television and movies for ensembles of all ages.  I hope you enjoy looking through my catalogue.
